Kara Travers, Center Director
Kara Travers Martin has been affiliated with YMCA Camp Arrowhead since 1990 and is looking forward to 2013 as another safe and memorable summer for campers. Throughout the years, starting as a teen camper, Kara has held a variety of staff positions, and looks forward to her third summer as the Center Director. Her goals for each summer remain the same; a focus on programming, to provide each camper with new and memorable experiences, and to have each camper make a friend at Camp. The friendships and new experiences that we provide for children at camp is vital to growth and development and gives them memories that will last a lifetime. Kara looks forward to working with Blake creating a relationship with your camper and family this summer.

Blake Martin, Camp/Program Director Blake Martin joined the Arrowhead team as the Camp/Program Director in March 2012. She has 20 years of experience as both a camper and staff at multiple summer camps. Blake began her career with the YMCA in 2007 at Camp Cory; she worked several seasons at YMCA Camp Chingachgook as an Outdoor Educator and has held various positions at the Southeast YMCA including the School Age Child Care Multi-Site Coordinator. With an MA in Educational Studies: Curriculum Development, Blake brings a strong background in child development, programming, and behavior management to Arrowhead along with enthusiasm for camping and a genuine love of working with children. |
