Teen Leadership Programs

Leaders-In-Training (L.I.T.) Program
Entering grades 8 or 9
Members $328/Program Members $385

The LIT program is designed for teens looking to become role models to younger campers. LITs work closely with a coordinator while learning first aid, child development, and leadership-by-example. LIT's play an important role at Camp Eastside as they help to create an inclusive and memorable camp experience for all of our campers. The LIT program runs from 9:00am-4:30pm.

Counselors-In-Training (C.I.T.) Program

Entering grades 10 or 11
Members $430/ Program Members $600

The CIT program is for teens who want to take advantage of a unique opportunity for true leadership. CIT's work closely with a coordinator and gradually learn responsibilities similar to those of our counselors. This includes planning daily activities, mentoring LIT's, developing behavior management tools, public speaking, and first aid training. At the conclusion of the program CIT's will have an opportunity to refine these skills as they co-lead a group of campers with the assistance of their counselor. The CIT program runs from 9:00am-4:30pm.

Participants will participate in swimming, specialty areas, and various trainings at camp throughout the summer. This program provides the perfect mix of experiential learning, leadership, and fun for a memorable summer.

All teens interested in the LIT or CIT program must complete and submit an application form; all applications must be received by March 29. Once reviewed qualifying teens will be contacted about an interview with the LIT/CIT coordinator to determine if the program is the right fit. At the conclusion of the interview process, all teens will be notified by June 1 to let them know if they are accepted into the LIT/CIT program. Please contact Michael Cardinali at 585-341-4056 with any questions regarding our LIT/CIT program.
