Meet the Team

Anne Thornton, Executive Director
Anne has been working in YMCA Camping since 1991. Anne is passionate about camping previously holding positions as Outdoor Center Director at YMCA Camp Speers-Eljabar in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and Executive Director of YMCA Camp Linwood-MacDonald in Sussex County, NJ. Anne has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and is a senior director with the YMCA. Anne lives at camp with her husband Tony (they met at a YMCA camp in 1991) and their two children Helen and Karen (pictured). All the Thornton’s love Camp Gorham and look forward to welcoming guests and campers.

Jackie Rudolph, Director of Administration

Jackie has been at Camp Gorham since 2011 and she is often the first person you will be in communication with while registering for camp.   Jackie lives locally at the Stillwater Reservoir with her husband Frank and their two children, Tyler and Emily, who both attend Gorham as campers.   She holds a degree in Accounting with a paralegal certification.  You can reach her at the Camp Office year round; please feel free to contact her.

Pete Meneilly, Camp Ranger
Pete has been working at Camp Gorham since 1984. Pete oversees all of camp’s vast facilities including the eighty-seven buildings and camp’s fifteen hundred acres.  He is a skilled craftsman, able fixer and keeps camp running year round. Pete lives at camp with his wife, Jane and their dog “Peepers”.  Pete is Camp Gorham’s resident historian and contributes to camp program planning due to his extensive knowledge of Camp Gorham.
Jon Lis, Camp Mechanic
Jon joined the Camp Gorham team in 2008 previously overseeing the maintenance at VanAukens Inn in Old Forge, NY. Jon lives in Old Forge with his wife Jennifer and their three children.

Volunteers

Come help us get ready for summer or close down for winter. This is a great way to give back to Gorham or earn community service hours for school. Volunteers arrive on Friday evening and work through Sunday morning. Meals are included and we often run fun camp activities in the evenings. Ages 13+. All children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
