Keep physically active this winter by taking on the challenge of an indoor triathlon. Challenge your co-workers, friends, and family in this fun, three-event race. Participants can race to place, race to finish, and/or race to beat their personal best score. This race is meant to be a fun, low pressure triathlon for ALL fitness levels and ages. Your participation will benefit the YMCA's Invest In Youth Campaign and the Heather Boyum Memorial Fund.
Individual Division - Adult and Team
Our indoor triathlon was once again a great success, thank you to each and every one of you for participating!
We hope to see you at our Spring Triathlon on April 13, 2014!
This is a three-event race including a timed swim, bike ride, and run/walk.
Adult Division: Ages 17+
- 15-minute pool swim
- 15-minute stationary bike ride
- 15-minute treadmill run/walk
Youth Division: Ages 8-16
- 8-minute pool swim
- 8-minute stationary bike ride
- 8-minute run/walk on the indoor track
Relay Team: Events are split among the team; one swimmer, one cyclist, and one runner!
Pre-Entry: By November 7, 2013
Adult $40, Youth $25, Relay Team $80/team
Post-Entry: After November 7 and on Race Day
Adult $50, Youth $30, Relay Team $90/team
* Entry Fee includes a dri-fit long sleeve shirt for adults, post race refreshments, locker room access, and child care.
REGISTER EARLY! The race is limited to 144 Adults and 72 Youth participants.
First 3 female, first 3 male, and the first in each age group.
First overall team, first family team, and the first team 18 and under.
No duplication of performance awarded.
PACKET PICK-UP: Pick-up is available at the Eastside YMCA Welcome Desk from 8:00am-7:00pm on Saturday, December 7 and on race day starting at 6:30am. Participants will be notified (by email or phone) prior to the event with assigned swim start time. Packets must be picked up at least 30 minutes before start time.

*FREE* We-Tri Educational Series -
The University of Rochester and the YMCA of Greater Rochester have developed this series, specifically for triathletes. This three part series focuses on educating our participants on the physical, nutritional, and mental aspects of competition to maximize their potential. The series is great for a new participant or an experienced competitor looking to take the next step. These events are free to attend and are open to the public. Injury Prevention and Medical Advice- November 12, 2013 from 7:00-8:00pm
Located at the University of Rochester Medical Center: 2064 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Penfield, 14526
Dr. Mitten, M.D. will discuss common injuries associated with triathlon training and help participants know what to look for in their training to prevent serious injuries. Dr. Mitten will speak from experience as he has personally completed several Iron Man competitions. VO2 Max testing will be available on site.
Nutrition and Equipment for Triathlons - November 19, 2013 from 7:00-8:00pm
Located at the Eastside YMCA
Kimberly Povec, registered dietician, will discuss nutrition for endurance athletes and help you customize your intake to maximize your performance. Towpath Racing and Tri Running and Walking will be here to discuss your gear and equipment.
