The Survive with Branden Albert program aims to raise awareness about the importance of health, fitness, and teamwork to the nation's youth.
Along with Branden Albert's appearance, Saturday's event will also feature skateboarders, dancers, zumba instructors, and lots of inflatables.
"We have so many kids excited because he's a football player. He's big, he's strong and they're like, 'woah and he came from here? He's like us?' It's a real life tangible mentor so we're excited to have him out here," said Smith.
The free event at the Lewis Street YMCA is open to the community. Albert will give a motivational talk around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, followed by the community party from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Join Albert to do yoga starting at 2 p.m.
