The Bay View Family YMCA welcomed Senator Michael Nozzolio to the Camp Bay View Aquatics Complex and honored him with a plaque for his efforts in securing $875,0000 from the New York State Dormitory Authority to fund the project. The complex allows members, families, and campers to enjoy outdoor swimming during the warmer months.
The $1.7 million outdoor pool and bathhouse project started in 2007 and was completed in two phases. The outdoor, heated pool opened in June 2009 and the splash playground opened in 2007.
The Camp Bay View Aquatics Center is open to Bay View campers during camp season and to members every evening from 5 to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the first weekend in June through mid-September.
