2015 Y-Tri at Carlson MetroCenter YMCA
Carlson MetroCenter YMCA challenges all co-workers, families, and friends to push their limits and participate in a fun, indoor fitness race. This event is a perfect fit for any level. Experienced racers can test their personal bests, newcomers can experience a low pressure triathlon in a controlled setting and families can work as a team and to be active this Winter.
Register for the fifteenth annual Y-Tri on Sunday, February 1, 2015 - Super Bowl Sunday. Participate in the indoor triathlon to benefit the YMCA's Annual Campaign. The campaign funds the YMCA's three areas of focus: youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

This is a three-event race consisting of a 15 minute pool swim, 15 minute stationary bike ride and a 15 minute indoor track run/walk. The goal for each event is to cover the greatest distance in 15 minutes. Each event will be run in waves, with the first wave beginning at 8:00am. There will be a 5-minute transition between waves at each event.
Individual: $40 (before 1/16) $50 (after 1/16)
Team: $80 (before 1/16) $90 (after 1/16)

Tri-Series participants are eligible to win exclusive prizes and awards for top male and female with the best combined score from all 3 races. Upon completion of the Series, Tri-Series participants will receive series memorabilia.

*Entry fee includes dri-fit t-shirt, post race refreshments, award eligibility, and child care. Shower facilities and storage available in locker room. Remember to bring your own lock.
Race is limited to 126 participants; early registration encouraged. Entry determined by receipt of application and fee. Oversubscribed entries will be refunded.
Awards: Awards to individual winners include male, female, master male, master female (over 40), and top finisher in each age group. Awards to 3-person teams include open (any mix), family, or company. There is no duplication of performance awards.
Packet Pick Up: Packets are available at the YMCA for pickup from 9:00am-12:00pm on Saturday, January 31 and beginning at 7:00am on race day. Participants will be notified by email or phone prior to the event with their assigned start time of swim. Start times will be finalized by 5:00pm on Friday, January 30. Packets must be picked up at least a half-hour before assigned swim.
In Memory of Bill Hearne
We honor and remember our friend and colleague, Bill Hearne, who was our leader, a teacher to many, an athlete and a generous mentor. Bill was the Director of the Y-Tri as well as a spinning instructor, a Dawn Patrol regular, a Run 'n' Ride instructor, yoga teacher and avid marathon runner. He also founded the “Metro Y Adventure Club.” His passion for nature inspired him to climb many mountain peaks. We are proud to carry on the Y-Tri tradition each year in memory of Bill Hearne.
