A wide range of full and partial day child care and youth development programs are offered by the YMCA for children ages 6 weeks old through 12 years old.  These program options include full day child care, preschool enrichment classes, partial day preschool, universal pre-kindergarten, youth sports, kindergarten wrap around, before and after school programs, and activities during school breaks. With so many demands on today’s families and the increased focus on early brain development, families need all the support they can get to nurture the potential of youth. That’s why child care and early learning programs at the Y focus on holistically nurturing child development by providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Youth Sports Programs

Ages 4 through 12 years old
Youth sports classes and leagues are co-ed and available at the YMCA for 4-12 year olds. All classes will help children develop fundamental skills and incorporate teamwork through instructional play. Whether it's gaining the confidence that comes from learning to play or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participation in sports at the Y is focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. In addition, participants will learn the rules of the game and engage in team play while having fun. The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives.
