Youth start the day with a nutritious breakfast and community time activities that develop leadership skills and strong friendships with fellow adventurers and staff.
Youth participate in project-based learning that focuses on strengthening and developing math/numeracy skills through creative fun and engaging activities.
Youth explore the world of language arts through unique learning opportunities that are incorporated into challenging individual and group activities that build and maintain literacy skills.
Each day, youth participate in a minimum of 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity. This may include sports, team games, and/or swimming.
YMCA youth explore STEM through makerspaces, pop-up stations, and adventure quest. The STEM exploration adventure quests provide opportunities for our youth to ask questions, problem solve, and design STEM projects, as they learn from their interactions with their fellow scientists and engineers.
This component includes arts, dance, drama, and music. These activities encourage youth to be creative and to express themselves in positive ways.
