TEENS AT THE Y

TEENS AT THE Y

WHAT CAN MY TEEN DO AT THE Y?

The Y is for Youth Development.

Teen development is the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical processes that all teens uniquely experience. At the Y, we know that a successful development process fulfills teens’ innate need to be loved, spiritually grounded, educated, competent, and healthy. The Y provides a safe place for teens to develop friendships, have new experiences and grow in leadership. Explore all the Y has for teens!

CAMP COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING/LEADER-IN-TRAINING

YMCA Camp Eastside believes in L.E.A.Ding with a cause. We focus on having our CITs/LITs Learn, Experience, Act and Develop as they enter pivotal years in their lives. The programs are designed for teens who want to gain a fuller and richer summer experience while making a difference.

These programs are a 4 week commitment between sessions 1-8. Campers must fill out an application for this program.

LEADERS CLUB

Leaders Clubs help develop teens from grades 6-12 as leaders while fostering a culture of service.  With adult advisers, teens have role models and mentors who can have a positive impact on their lives as they grow in their desire and ability to be a positive force in the community.
