Jeff has been with the YMCA of Greater Rochester for 10 years. He has been the Southeast Family YMCA Executive Director since September 2018 and was with the Eastside Family Branch in a variety of capacities, most recently as Associate Executive Director, for more than nine years. Jeff brings a strong energy, a working knowledge of the Greater Rochester Association, and is ready to lead the team during this exciting time in our Y history.
Jason has worked for the YMCA of Greater Rochester for 17 years, starting as a day camp counselor at Camp Arrowhead. Jason’s career brought him to the Southeast Family YMCA when he became the Youth Sports and Teen Director in 2007. In 2013, Jason went back to his roots when he became Center Director for Camp Arrowhead and the Victor Active Family Branch.
Kelly has been with the YMCA for nearly 18 years. In her early days, she worked part-time as an Exercise Instructor and Group Exercise Coordinator before becoming Health and Wellness Director 16 years ago. Most recently, Kelly has been working as Director of Administration and Member Services at the Southeast YMCA.
Matt’s YMCA career began in 2012 as a Wellness Coach at the Eastside YMCA. While working at the Eastside Y, Matt obtained his NSCA-CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) certification and in 2013 became the Lead Personal Trainer at the Bay View Family YMCA. He moved on to become the Facility Director at Power Train East Rochester in 2016. Matt obtained his B.S. in Health and Wellness at Buffalo State College.
Lisa has been with the YMCA for 23 years. In her early days, when her main job was stay-at-home mom, she worked as a part-time Group Exercise Instructor. Lisa later took on the role as Volunteer Coordinator and Member Engagement Specialist. She has been in her full-time role as Wellness Center Coordinator at the Southeast Family Branch for the last four years.
Lisa has been working in the fitness industry for 25 years. Fifteen of those years have been at the Southeast YMCA. In her role as Group Exercise Coordinator, Lisa will continue to have a direct impact on delivering cutting-edge programming as well as providing you with the best experience.
For the past two years, she has taught K-5 Physical Education at Howard County public schools in Maryland. Prior to that, Whitney worked in the Athletic Department at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). At UMBC, she taught Physical Education classes and served as the Coordinator of Club Sports before being promoted to Assistant Director for Corporate Partners, Marketing & Promotions of their Division-I Athletic Department.
During his career, Sean has had the opportunity to work in different aquatic settings — including recreation, coaching swim teams, waterfront and collegiate. He joined the YMCA family in 2006 as the Aquatics Director at the Eastside YMCA. Throughout the last 12 years he has had the opportunity to lead an innovative and driven team, which recently earned the title of No. 1 safety certification program in the Rochester Area.
Ashlee’s YMCA career started in 2004 at the Northwest Family YMCA. She worked in family and teen programs, ran preschool classes and summer camp, and was the Child Watch Coordinator. In 2015, following a five-year hiatus from the Y, Ashlee returned the Y as the Center Director for the Eastside YMCA Early Education Center.
Rebecca returned to her hometown in 2016 and joined the Before and After School Program department at the Eastside YMCA. For the past two school years, she has led the preschool team at the Southeast YMCA. A certified school counselor, Rebecca looks forward to enhancing the social-emotion learning in preschool and creating college and career readiness programs for older students.
