Swim lessons help your child stay safer around water and make water activities fun. Swim lessons give your child the skills to make swimming part of a lifelong pursuit for having fun in the water, staying active and being healthy.
Swim Starters – for infant and toddlers, accompanied by a parent, helping little ones be comfortable in the water while building confidence.
Swim Basics – teaching your child basic swim strokes, floating, water safety, being under water, body position and control, directional change and more.
Swim Strokes – building your child’s stroke techniques, learning new strokes, treading water, reinforcing water safety, and learning about competitive swimming.
YMCA swim instructors are nationally certified. Their training includes CPR, AED, First Aid and Oxygen Administration.
