The youth flag football travel league is an opportunity for participants who have mastered fundamental techniques and now want to be challenged in a more advanced, high level competitive environment. Participants will compete against other YMCA branches in weekly games, followed by an association-wide tournament at the end of the season.

Youth flag football travel league has one 60-90 minute practice during the week and one game every weekend. All practices take place in branch locations and games are played against other YMCA branch locations. The Y league offers an 8-10 week session. Length of session varies by Y district location.

The youth flag football travel league is designed to provide children with opportunities to engage in competitive games with advanced competition to cultivate team work, sportsmanship, and positive values. The program principle is to highlight winning and losing as a teachable moment on and off the field. Coaches/volunteers create a learning environment through positive relationships that focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
