The Y offers the opportunity to explore the arts and express creativity in a safe, encouraging environment. From art studios to the kitchen, our Arts & Humanities programs range from introductory classes to more advanced programs to grow with your child.
ART
Children will be able to express their creative side through a variety of different art projects.
ESPORTS
ESports is a competitive sport through a video game requiring the use of strategy, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills to achieve individual or team success.
FAMILY FUN NIGHTS
Family Fun Nights are a great opportunity for families to connect at the Y while having fun! Activities very from craft nights to scavenger hunts, and more!
FIRST FRIDAY
Happening the first Friday of each month, we will have special themed activities for the entire family to enjoy – from a movie night to a holiday bash!
JR. CHEF COOKING
Kids will learn the basics of cooking, knife skills, and healthy eating.
LEADERS CLUB
This program is designed to give teens (grades 7-12) positive support. They learn to develop personal values through community service, leadership and teamwork. Teen Leaders: Don't forget to sign up for the Fall Rally!
MUSIC
Children will learn the basics of music from reading sheet music, identifying music notes, exploring all different styles of music, to sampling playing basic instruments from guitars, drums and piano.
PARENT'S TIME OFF
Know that your children will be cared for by Y staff, with fun and games planned especially for them, with varying themes dependent on time of year and/or holidays.
STEM
Kids will have the ability to learn the basics of sciences, technology, engineering, and math through a series of hands-on experiments and projects.
YOUTH & GOVERNMENT
YMCA Youth & Government an experiential learning program in which students serve as part of a model state government. Students are offered the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of issues, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs while engaging constructively with their peers from around the State. This program runs September through March.
