The YMCA of Greater Rochester is proud to offer programming for all of our members. This includes our teens! Check out some of what your teen can do at the YMCA.
Teen Leaders
Leaders Clubs connect young people ages 12-18 years with adult advisors to develop their leadership potential while fostering a culture of service, belonging, growth mindset, and self-advocacy. With the help of role models and mentors, these teens develop the skills they need to lead positive change in their communities.
The Teen Leaders program consists of weekly meetings at various locations, regular service learning opportunities, and overnight trips to allow teen leaders to connect with their peers from the greater Northeast Region of the United States. All meetings take place during the school year.

Youth and Government
The YMCA Youth and Government Program gives teens in grades 9-12 an opportunity for a hands-on experiential learning experience where they engage directly with government procedure in legislation, justice, journalism, and advocacy. Students are offered the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of issues, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs while engaging constructively with their peers from around the State. Join the Youth and Government community to find your potential as a future leader. Check back for registration opportunities.
