Discounts and Referral Bonus

Families registering for multiple children will receive a $25 sibling discount for each additional child enrolled during the same summer. These savings are applied during registration.

Referral Bonus:

To say thank you for helping our camp community grow, we are offering our Camper Referral Incentive Program for the upcoming summer season! For every brand-new camper you introduce to camp who attends this summer, your family will receive a $125 tuition credit (up to 10 camper referrals, for a total of $1,250)!

How It Works: Simple as 1,2,3

  1. Spread the Word: Tell your friends, neighbors, and coworkers about your camper’s experience and why they’ll love spending their summer with us.

  2. Your Friend Fills Out the Referral Form: Before completing their registration, your friend simply visits our "Who Referred You? Form" that's apart of our registration and names your family.

  3. You Receive Your Credit: Once your friend’s camper arrives and checks in on Opening Day, your $125 credit is unlocked and applied directly to your household account!
Key Details & Rules of Discounts and Referrals

To ensure a smooth process for our camp office and fairness for all families, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • Brand-New Camp Families Only: To qualify, the referred camper must belong to a household that is completely new to camp and has no prior registration history with us. (Enrolling younger siblings of current or returning camp families is covered under our standard sibling policies, rather than a referral bonus).

  • Registration Submission Required: The incoming family must submit the [How did you hear about us] form before finalizing their registration. Due to our system verification process, referral credits cannot be applied retroactively after registration is complete.

  • Attendance Contingency: Referral credits are awarded once the referred camper completes Opening Day check-in at their camp session. If a registration is cancelled or the camper does not attend, the referral credit is void.

  • Current Season Only: This program applies exclusively to the upcoming camp summer season. Credits do not carry over to future years and are non-transferable.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How is the credit applied to my account?

Once the new camper arrives and completes Opening Day check-in, our business office will apply a $125 credit directly toward your remaining camp tuition balance. If your tuition is already paid in full, we will issue a $125 refund directly back to your original payment method!

Do I (the referring family) need to fill out any forms?

No! We wanted to make this as effortless as possible for you. The incoming family simply completes the quick [Who Referred You? Form] before they register. Once they do, our registrar links the accounts on the back end.

Can a new family list more than one referring family?

Only one referring household can be credited per new camper registration. If more than one family is mentioned, our office will follow up with the new family to confirm which household should receive the credit.

What if our friends forgot to fill out the form before registering?

Because our camp database cross-references household histories and timestamps upon enrollment, we must strictly adhere to the pre-registration form policy. Please encourage your friends to submit the form before they hit submit on their camper registration!

Experience Scholarship

The Experience Scholarship: How to Apply

We believe every child deserves a summer at camp. To support our community, we offer financial assistance through the Experience Scholarship for families who may need support with camp tuition.

Step 1: Secure Your Spot

To begin the process, please register your child for their desired session through our online portal.

  • Deposit: A 10% deposit is required at the time of registration to hold your camper’s place.

  • Peace of Mind: If the scholarship amount awarded does not meet your family's financial needs, this deposit is fully refundable.

Step 2: Complete the Scholarship Application

Our financial aid application consists of two parts:

The Online Form

Within the registration portal, you will provide details regarding your household size and income. You will also have the opportunity to share why you chose Camp Gorham and what your child hopes to gain from the experience. There is also a chance to share any extenuating circumstances that might not show up in your supporting paperwork.

Upload Supporting Documentation

To verify your request, please upload the following documents directly to your camper’s account in CampBrain:

  • Your most recent federal tax return (whichever year is most currently available to you).

  • OR Four weeks of consecutive pay stubs for all income earners in the household.

  • Proof of any supplemental income (such as SSI, SNAP or other assistance), if applicable.

Important Award Details

  • Duration: Scholarships typically cover up to 1 overnight camp program. If your family has unique circumstances requiring assistance for a longer stay, your application will be reviewed individually by our Camp Leadership Team.

  • Requesting Support: On your application, you will have the opportunity to request a specific scholarship amount that would make camp possible for your family.

  • Processing time: Please allow the Gorham Team up to 2 weeks to process your application. We try to get a decision to you sooner but sometimes will need two weeks

If you encounter any issues with the upload process, please email us at campgorham@rochesterymca.org for support.

Cancellation Policy
  • To change or cancel your existing registration: Please contact our staff at campgorham@rochesterymca.org. All changes to enrollment must be made in writing.

  • Refunds will be made in full upon cancellation prior to May 15, 2027. After May 15, refunds less your deposit will be issued if cancellation is more than 2 weeks prior to your session. Refunds will not be issued if cancellation is within 2 weeks of your session starting.

  • Refunds will be issued back to the form of payment used.

  • No refunds are given when a camper’s behavior warrants dismissal from the program or for instances when the parent voluntarily withdraws the child from camp for any reason. Refunds will be given for medical purposes (with a doctor's note) prior to the start of camp in full. During camp, pro-rated refunds will be granted for medical purposes.

  • Completion of all forms and payment in full prior to my child attending camp are required for camp participation.

Payment Plans

During enrollment, families can select a convenient payment schedule through their online Parent Account. Spreading tuition across manageable, interest-free monthly installments allows families to easily budget for summer camp while securing their preferred sessions and specialty electives early. Any selected payment plans and remaining session balances are automatically processed using your default payment method on file. All camp fee balances must be paid according to your chosen schedule prior to arrival.

Horseback Riding & Waterskiing

Waterskiing and Horseback Riding are premium specialty electives available for an additional $350 per week. This dedicated fee covers specialized operational costs—including dedicated boat fuel, specialized rigging and equipment, comprehensive equine care and feed and maintaining low camper-to-instructor ratios led by certified, experienced specialists.
