Set across 1,500 private, scenic acres in the Adirondack Park, YMCA Camp Gorham is thoughtfully designed to bring campers together around the natural centerpiece of Darts Lake. The heart of camp life is centered along the shoreline, where daily life flows between our classic rustic cabin villages, modern shower houses and vibrant program spaces. Campers spend their days engaging across the waterfront for swimming and boating, mastering target sports and adventure courses, creating in the Arts & Crafts Barn and playing games on the athletic fields and jumping pillow. Everyone gathers three times a day in the Dining Hall for family-style meals, anchoring the daily rhythm of connection and community across the grounds.
DINING HALL
Our classic Adirondack Dining Hall is an inviting, lodge-style gathering space anchored by warm, rustic stone fireplaces and large round tables that comfortably seat 10 campers and counselors together. Directly attached to our fully equipped, professional commercial kitchen and scratch-prep stations, the open hall allows the entire camp community to dine under one roof. With abundant natural light and room to move between the central salad and fruit bars, it is built to feel both spacious for all-camp celebrations and cozy for close cabin connection.
LOWER CABINS
The Lower Cabins (typically Frontier Village) features six distinct cabins—Tamarack, Pine, Laurel, Hemlock, Juniper, and Elm—each offering its own unique rustic layout with capacities ranging from 10 to 22 beds. While the cabins lack individual kitchens and showers, each is centered around a traditional stone fireplace that brings warmth and classic Adirondack character to evening cabin chats. Laurel and Hemlock offer spacious two-story designs, while all six cabins are located from a dedicated village shower house. These cabins are only used for summer camp and Family Camp programming.
WILDERNESS LODGE
Wilderness Lake Lodge is a spacious, year-round facility designed to house groups comfortably under one roof. During the summer, it typically serves as a home base for our youngest campers in Loon Village as well as our Counselors-in-Training (CITs). The interior features comfortable sleeping accommodations, a fully equipped kitchen, and an expansive common area anchored by a warm stone fireplace. In the fall, winter, and spring, the lodge transitions into an independent retreat space for family reunions and group getaways seeking a private, self-contained Adirondack experience.
UPPER CAMP
Upper Camp features seven classic Adirondack cabins—Birch, Dogwood, Cherry, Beechwood, Cedar, Mt. Ash, and Cant Dog—nestled in the forested upper grounds of camp. During the summer, these traditional wooden cabins primarily house our Big Moose and Lumberjack villages, offering open bunk layouts, electricity, and covered porches just steps from a central village shower house. Throughout the off-season, four of these cabins—Birch, Beechwood, Cedar, and Cant Dog—are winterized and rented out as rustic, cozy cabins for visiting groups, families, and seasonal retreats.
HIGH PEAKS
Perched near the riding arena just outside the center of camp, the High Peaks cabins traditionally serve as home base for our Adirondack Village during the summer season. These classic rustic cabins are named after celebrated Adirondack summits and offer bright, open bunk rooms, electricity, screened windows, and welcoming front porches perfect for evening cabin reflections. Designed to foster independence and close-knit peer bonds, each cabin offers is own restroom with showers.
OAK HALL AND HEALTH CENTER
Oak Hall serves as the central hub for camper wellness and medical care throughout the summer season. The ground level houses our fully equipped Health Center, featuring a dedicated infirmary, quiet observation rooms, and a secure, private medication distribution area staffed around the clock by our licensed medical team. The building also includes a comfortable, self-contained private apartment used to house our on-site nursing staff during camp sessions. Outside of the summer months, the Oak Hall apartment transitions into a convenient, private rental space for visiting guests and small families.
