Sarah Collins

In 1963, in Birmingham, AL, four girls were killed in the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing by the KKK. One girl survived, and her name is Sarah Collins Rudolph.

The YMCA of Greater Rochester is honored to host Sarah for a night of conversation. Join us as Sarah, author and social justice activist, recalls that day and shares how she has made it her mission to tell the story and preserve the legacy of the others killed, including her sister. In 2020, she published a book, “The 5th Little Girl,” that relives the historic day she became the fifth little girl.
