Registration Information
Any participant that enrolls once the school year has started has a mandatory two-week processing period. This means your child’s first eligible start date is 14 days after the date you register. Children cannot attend before their official start date. Please plan accordingly.
Registration for the 2025-26 Before & After School Program is now open. Registration for new families for the 2026-27 school year opens at 10 am, Monday, April 13.

*Please note that two weeks’ written notice is required for all program cancellations.
BILLING & EXPERIENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
REGISTRATION PROCESS
Registration for our programs are online at the links listed below under each school district. Space is limited in many programs and we highly recommend registering as soon as you know you will need care. PRICING & BILLING
As a cause-driven organization with a deep commitment to the community it serves, the Y strives to provide all kids with an opportunity to attend our childcare programs. Sharing the common goal to make programs and services available to as many as possible while maximizing availability of assistance, we work closely with the Department of Human Services (DHS) to assist families with securing subsidy funding. For those who do not qualify for funding through DHS, we offer our Experience Scholarship.

Please note: Families requesting an Experience Scholarship or Subsidy Funding will need to complete additional steps in the enrollment process. Please see Experience Scholarship or Subsidy Funding sections below.
At the time of registration there is a $20 registration fee.
BILLING
Our fees are charged on the basis of enrollment, not attendance. Refunds/prorates cannot be granted for absences due to illness or vacation. When you enroll, you are reserving time, space, staffing and provisions, whether or not your child attends. Refunds will be given for overpayment of fees or for fees you’ve paid in advance of a two-week program cancellation notice by the Y. Refunds will not be given if your child is suspended or terminated from the program or during the suspension period from the school.
The weekly fee is automatically drafted two weeks prior to the week of care. Any changes to enrollment must be made in writing two weeks prior to the change and those changes must be received by our Billing and Registration office – ROCBASP@RochesterYMCA.org.
CHILDCARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Childcare Assistance Program offers subsidy payments to families with a total gross income not exceeding 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) who shows a need for childcare. Families contribute to the cost of care based on a sliding scale (Parent Fee).
HOW TO APPLY
To apply for the childcare assistance program, visit the Monroe County Childcare Assistance Program website to download the application.
ENROLLING WITH SUBSIDY PAYMENTS
Within the registration process, you will be asked if you are receiving DHS funding, select yes. Each enrollment request with subsidy funding will be reviewed individually to determine if the family has an active open case with their county. Families with open and active childcare cases will be contacted to receive the documentation needed to transfer care to our program. Families without an open childcare case are strongly encouraged to apply using the process outlined above.
