ROCHESTER, NY - The YMCA of Greater Rochester is responding to help the more than 200,000 neighbors right here in our service region who are impacted by the SNAP crisis. Food insecurity touches so many: our members and those in communities we serve.

ROCHESTER, NY – Every year, the YMCA of Greater Rochester helps thousands of children learn how to swim, but the need to learn isn’t limited to children. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), more than half of adults in the U.S. have never taken a formal swim lesson.

Rochester, NY – The YMCA of Greater Rochester is pleased to share that thanks to support from Senator Jeremy Cooney (D-56th District) and New York State, more children of military families will have access to life-changing experiences at camp.

Rochester, NY - In 1963, in Birmingham, AL, four girls were killed in the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church after several KKK members planted 19 sticks of dynamite outside of the church's basement.

The YMCA takes the mantra of “for all” to heart. And that goes even if you’re in our walls from as far away as 5,000 miles.   

Many kids are able to block out the world and be kids once they touch down at YMCA Camp Cory and the Y at Watson Woods.
