Penfield, NY – The YMCA of Greater Rochester is proud to announce the official renaming of our Penfield location to the Hutch Family Branch. This name change, done to reflect the incredible commitment and support of Ray and Erika Hutch, was first announced last fall after their latest gift.
At the time, Ernie Lamour, President & CEO, YMCA of Greater Rochester, called this a monumental moment for the YMCA of Greater Rochester, commending the Hutch family on their longtime support and partnership.
“Without Ray and Erika’s support, we simply would not be able to serve this region in the same way,” said Lamour during the November announcement. “The Hutch Family created their legacy nearly 20 years ago; we’re now pleased to cement it with the naming of this Y in their honor.”
Ray and Erika have been instrumental since the inception of the branch, through its grand opening in 2006 and expansion in 2013, and the opening of a brand new, full-day childcare center last fall.
When the announcement was made of the name change, Ray shared that he couldn’t be prouder of all the location has accomplished as it celebrates two decades of service.
“I appreciate being involved in this special addition to serve our community,” he shared.
This name change will not impact the delivery of programs and services you’ve come to expect from the Penfield location.
