In November, you helped us during a time of great need. The impact on the community has been incredible to witness.
But we know the need persists. Just this past February, our Lewis Street YMCA Neighborhood Center served more than 400 people at its food pantry, and every month, we see more than 100 families utilizing it.
Currently, the food pantry is in need of donations. Food insecurity touches so many: our members and those in communities we serve. To help ensure seniors, children and adults still have the nutrition they need, we will be collecting items needed for our food pantry at The Lewis Street YMCA Neighborhood Center, which we operate in partnership with Foodlink.
We are collecting the following items from May 1-14 at all our locations:
- Peanut Butter
- Canned Meats (chicken and tuna)
- Canned Beans
- Rice
- Pasta & Pasta Sauce
- Canned Vegetables
- Healthy After-School Snacks (including applesauce and fruit cups, granola bars, whole-grain crackers)
- Pantry Staples (like flour, sugar, spices, salt & pepper and cooking oils)
If you are able, please drop off any of the items listed at our locations.
If you or members of your family are in need of food, please visit our food pantry at The Lewis Street YMCA Neighborhood Center (53 Lewis Street) or this website for more support.
