It’s been another summer of learning (and fun!) at the Power Scholars Academy (PSA).

Will Rappold has been a part of the YMCA of Greater Rochester’s Youth and Government program going on three years. But this summer was his first time attending the YMCA’s Youth Conference on National Affairs (CONA).

Perseverance comes in all shapes and sizes. Even at age 5, Jack Cotroneo is a clear example of not letting your circumstances bring you down.   

Something really cool is happening in Rochester one year from now – a total solar eclipse! And this isn’t like the last solar eclipse in 2017; this time, we in Rochester are in the path of totality.

We are excited to share changes in some of our membership categories starting April 1, 2023. Our Junior membership will now be two separate categories — Youth Program (ages 0-12) and Teen (ages 13-18) — to better serve and articulate the services available to these distinctly different age groups.
