The YMCA of Greater Rochester is pleased to share that we are one of the YMCAs across New York State to receive funding from Governor Kathy Hochul's NY SWIMS Initiative and the New York State Department of Health.
As America's Swim Instructor, the Y knows how important it is to ensure children have opportunities to learn lifesaving water safety and swimming skills. Here in the greater Rochester region, with so many natural bodies of water and backyard and community pools, we are proud to offer not only year-round lessons, but specialty programs during the year and partner with different organizations to teach these skills.
Our team is working through all the details and finding the ways that we can best use this funding to support our community. We will share those details as soon as we can.
